Norway’s hydroelectric facility is continuing upgrades. The city will be replacing the second turbine shaft in the Sturgeon Falls hydroelectric facility's unit one generator.
The city gets almost 90 percent of its energy from this facility. The update will cost more than $300,000. Alloy Steel Forging Products
"It's a tremendous responsibility as well. You know, it's an important business, so we have to maintain our asset. The costs are high, relative to other government business, it's still very profitable for the residents, which are the shareholders,” said Norway’s city manager, Ray Anderson.
